What the critics had to say about levers.tripod.com and its marvellous author Mark aka levers

One of the funniest people I've ever known

- Roby Jones, lead singer of the Riverbrew, Ricky Gervais fanaticist and one time Atkins employee.

Well, he doesn't make me laugh

- Roby Jones's step father

Oh Mark. Your hair! It's so funny! You look like Elvis

- Annie Tuohy

Mark didn't want to do any work today

- Mrs Hardbottle, first year infant schook teacher, circa 1983

I want to complain...

- Alex Roger Rogers, he needs no introduction

Knob 'ead

- Gregory 'Desmond' Hopton, he moved to New Zealand, y'know

That'll be £9.72 please.

- A cashier in Tesco, last Sunday. I think her name was Julie.

Good Evening, dear reader. This website has gone untouched since early 2003, when I suddenly found I had other things to do with my time, such as the illegal downloading of music off the Internet. I have since learnt the error of my ways and have been repenting for my sins ever since, so please don't arrest me. Illegal file-sharing is bad, kids. Don't do it! Spend a premium amount of money subscribing to Napster (once bent themselves), so Robbie Williams has enough pocket money to go on polishing his touchy. Or go download more of those bloody ring tones, so the crazy frog can indeed disappear up its own reptilian arse.

Blog on Livejournal.com (mirror site)

The only item likely to be updated on a regular basis, and notice how it was hidden at the bottom of the page for so long, just in case I got bored of it, or it was rubbish, or far too embarrassing, thus allowing it to quietly disappear into the ether.

However, by promoting it right to the top of the site, the pressure's really on, and so all those fears listed above will now proabably bear fruition and become true.

Current topics include:

Vast quantitles of 'words' describing my time in America, New Zealand and Australia, as the only antidote to the predicted memory loss I would suffer on my return........ The New and (at the time of writing) incomplete Arsenal stadium...... The end of Top of the Pops, Lily Allen, Lauren Laverne and Steve Jones on Transmission, and insulting Jamiroqui........ Coke Zero........ The Death of ITV........

Pully & Gail in Wedding Photo Fury! Shock!

Yes, the photos they didn't want you to see, because the cameraman was rubbish and everyone's out of focus. Nah! The pics are actually incredibley classy. In fact I should be earning a mint from Hello, or Ok, or even the Bristol Oberver, for these.

The wedding in question took place on August 20th 2005, in Oxford Town Hall, between Alex Roger Rogers (though why his parents gave the same middle name as his surname, I have no idea*) and Gail Bartlett, with the reception that followed in Corpus Christie College. And let me tell you, there were a couple of DJs there, that were so good, that they would quite literally have knocked your socks off. JK and Jowel. Pah! Colin and Edith. Rubbish! Dave Lee Travis. Pathetic!

Old Site

Ahhh! Happy days... Well, didn't have the heart to delete it. The layout and design is actually quite impressive, even if I do say so myself; but alas it's last update was around the third round of the 2003 F.A. Cup, as I'd set up a section as a homage to Match of the Day, which was undergoing a mid-life crisis of sorts as the BBC had lost the Premiership rights to ITV (They have of course, since won them back again). But there's also a horribley dated discussion on file-sharing, music video links (which probably no longer work), and a retrospective on one new years eve spent down the pub in the late '90s.
